Gentlemen,
Coming to Purdue University is a major step in your life. Becoming part of the Greek community here on campus can further enhance this experience. Purdue boasts the 3rd largest Greek system in the country and provides the opportunity for you to experience friendships, athletics, Purdue pride, leadership opportunities, and community service. Therefore, the men of Pi Kappa Alpha would like to invite you to learn more about these exciting opportunities by visiting with us this coming fall semester. Pi Kappa Alpha is a general, secret, social, college fraternity with the purpose of fostering friendship, leadership and community involvement. We are dedicated to bettering ourselves as Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen. Pi Kappa Alpha provides an opportunity to set yourself apart. Whether it's on the athletic field, in the classroom or in campus leadership positions, Pi Kappa Alpha will have a presence.
• Scholars: Students enroll in college, first and foremost, to get an education. We here at Pi Kappa Alpha believe whole-heartedly in this ideal and place a high importance on scholarship. Our studies vary from engineering and pharmacy to numerous other outstanding majors offered at Purdue. Most notably we have multiple brothers in academic honor fraternities on campus such as Phi Sigma Pi and Beta Alpha Psi.
• Leaders: We currently have several members in elite organizations on campus such as Mortar Board, Lower Board, Old Masters, Greek Foundation Student Board, Interfraternity Council, Purdue Student Union Board, Greek IV, and School of Management Council.
• Athletes: We boast a storied athletic history. We have won 10 intramural championships in the last 32 years and we have never finished lower than 4th in the point standings. We also have numerous Varsity Athletes here at Purdue including Zach Reckman (Football), Jeff Straub and Kyle Brookey (Baseball). We also have a couple of club athletes in Max Paganini (Rugby), and Mike McCarthey (Hockey). More recently two of our brothers have gone on to be drafted into the NFL, Kyle Orton (Bears) and Mike Otto (Titans).
• Gentlemen: We strive to participate and win every philanthropy on campus. Over the recent years we have won: the Pi Beta Phi-Delta Chi Dodge ball tournament, the Evan’s Scholars corn hole tournament, and we had the winner of the talent show from Zeta Tau Alpha’s “Big Man On Campus” competition. All of these philanthropies raised money for great causes.
We also have a great history of social events with the all top sororities each year, including Phi Mu as our football buddies this year. So if you believe highly in being a Scholar, Leader, and Gentlemen on campus, as well as being a dominant force on the athletic field then Pi Kappa Alpha may be the place for you. So, come meet the Brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha and discover a way to enhance your collegiate experience. Feel free to bring your friends and roommates.
