Pi Kappa Alpha put a Kart in the race for the first time in over 15 years.  With the help of Alumni Doug Wright, the winner of the 1985 Grand Prix race, we were able to field a competitive Kart.  Driver Ben Phillips qualified for the second position in one of the sprint races leading up to the main race.  The first and second place teams from each sprint race earn a spot in the main race.  Ben jumped out to an early lead in the race and never looked back.  For the main race we started in the back of the field.  After a great race Ben ended up finishing in 11th place of the 51st Annual Grand Prix Race.  With the entire Grand Prix race team back next year, we look forward to an even better finish next year.
